Tops, and Cheaper

A Peter Greenberg article listed Doral Park Avenue Hotel, at 38th and Park in New York City, as a convenient location with special summer weekend rates. It was not only tops, but not as expensive as he quoted. The $129.50 weekend special rate is per room, not per person, although an extra person is only $20 a day. We were greeted by a pleasant staff, plus champagne, chocolate truffles and two “big apples.” A special rate was extended from Thursday night to Sunday at 2 p.m. A continental breakfast for two was included.
