The body of a San Diego man who jumped off the Coronado Bay Bridge about a week ago was found in San Diego Bay Tuesday morning, the coroner’s office reported.
Victor M. Rodriguez, 35, an unemployed city planner, reportedly had been despondent over his inability to find a job since he moved to San Diego from Miami in December, 1986. He jumped off the Coronado Bay Bridge Aug. 19 about 7 p.m., according to Deputy Coroner Penny Hammerstead.
Rodriguez’s body was found about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday by Harbor Police off the eastern end of Harbor Island near the Coast Guard Station, Hammerstead said.
