Los Angeles police detectives are investigating the shooting of a North Hollywood man found critically injured about 4 a.m. Friday on a residential street.
Christopher Harris, 24, who was discovered by a passer-by in the 10900 block of Kittridge Street in North Hollywood, was in critical condition at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. He had been shot in the upper body and underwent surgery Friday morning, said Los Angeles Police Detective Howard Landgren.
Police at first thought Harris had been shot somewhere else, then thrown onto Kittridge from a car. However, after interviewing area residents who reported hearing a gunshot, police believe that Harris was gunned down where he was found, Landgren said.
Police know of no motive and have no suspects, Landgren said.
