Dornan’s Threat to Protester

The picture of Rep. Robert Dornan (R-Garden Grove) appearing in The Times (Aug. 23) shows a close resemblance to a political bully named Fidel Castro.
The similarity, however, is more than skin deep. When an elderly woman attempted to criticize Dornan’s support of U.S. intervention in Central America, he enjoyed displaying his machismo with the threat, “Yell once more and your ass is going to be thrown out!”
Dornan has everything it takes to be a successful dictator; he undoubtedly would be at home wearing battle fatigues in Congress.
When he and Lt. Col. Oliver North decide to lead a junta to suspend democracy in the United States and to nullify the Constitution, we all may as well board the first plane to Havana.
