Tea at the Ritz

Just had to respond to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas’ note about tea at the Ritz (Letters, July 26). On July 13 I had high tea at London’s Ritz Hotel. The cost was 9.25 ($15.37 U.S. per person). My friend and I found it a most delightful experience, especially with the attention of maitre d’ Michael, making substitutions to meet my dietary needs. Thanks for the May 24 article of Shirley Slater and Harry Basch (about the Ritz). It added a special meaning to my trip.
