Little League Team Had Nothing to Be Ashamed Of
- Share via
As a resident of Irvine, I am very proud to be from the city of the Northwood Little League team. Saying they had an exceptional year would be an understatement. The team and the coaches had a once-in-a-lifetime year. I fear the nation might feel embarrassed over Northwood’s 21-1 loss in the championship game. My hope is that sports fans will remember that Irvine made it to the championship game with an incredible 18-game winning streak.
I also want Aron Garcia to know that I will remember his 10-0 record, not to mention his hitting skills.
Hold your heads up high, boys, because you were the best in the United States in 1987.
