New World Entertainment extended its hostile attempt to take over Kenner Parker Toys, renewing its $47 per share tender offer until Sept. 18. But the Los Angeles movie and comic book company also reserved the option of selling its 8.4% stake in the toy maker, which has negotiated a merger with Tonka Corp. as a means of thwarting a takeover by New World.
