Orange : Student Financial Aid Increased at Chapman

Chapman College students this academic year have “the widest-ranging program of aid packages in the college’s history,” the private institution announced.
Alan Mishne, director of financial aid for the college, said the expanded help for student tuition includes more scholarships and loans.
“We want to keep interested families from saying, ‘The school is right; the faculty is right; I like what they stand for, but I can’t afford it,’ ” Mishne said. “We also don’t want to lose any returning student who says he or she can’t come back because of lack of financial aid.”
One option for students, Mishne said, is the Chapman College Deferred Loan Program. He said the new program allows students and their families to borrow up to $2,500 per year from the college at “reasonable interest.”
Mishne said students at Chapman are also eligible for academic scholarships ranging from $1,900 to $4,790 if they have grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher.
