Bobby Fox had a goal and an assist as Cal State Fullerton upset 10th-ranked UCLA, 2-0, Wednesday in a nonconference men’s soccer match at UCLA.
Fullerton’s victory snapped UCLA’s 26-game unbeaten streak at home. Fullerton (10-5-1) scored its first goal at the 20:24 mark of the first half when Steve Crevoiserat scored from 15 yards out on Fox’s assist.
Fox scored in the second half on an assist from Greg Cipolla.
“I think we caught them by surprise,” said Al Mistri, Fullerton coach. “They beat us twice last year by a combined score of 9-0, and they probably took us lightly. Still, this is one of the best games a Titan team has ever played.”
UCLA is 10-7.
