Trying to Redefine Rock

The music from such albums as Paul Simon’s “Graceland,” U2’s “The Joshua Tree,” Bruce Springsteen’s “Tunnel of Love,” etc., can only be called “think ‘n’ feel” music.
Being a 52-year-old Sting groupie, I think his new album “. . . Nothing Like the Sun” is a perfect example of think ‘n’ feel music. His lyrics are thoughtful and sometimes beautifully poetic and the feeling and emotion of some of the songs (“They Dance Alone,” “Fragile,” “Secret Marriage Vow”) have on occasion moved me to tears.
