Pox on Naval Crybaby
A pox on Lt. Cmdr. D.B. Duke, who wants out of the Navy because it has the audacity to want to send him to sea in a ship!
Duke was a naval officer before he was a qualified naval aviator.
Naval aviators are, or at least they were in my time, unrestricted line officers (meaning they could be assigned to any duty, including command at sea) with the additional qualification (or designation) as a naval aviator.
This attitude confirms the long-held, by most unrestricted line officers, opinion that one knew what naval aviators did to earn their flight pay, but no one, even themselves, knew what they did to earn their base pay.
The Navy will be better off without a crybaby such as Duke. Throw him out!
