Studying in a Foreign Country
I’m a Swedish 17-year-old boy who has the great opportunity to be a foreign exchange student in the United States. I’m in the Educational Foundation program for foreign study. I have been here for almost 11 weeks and already I have learned a lot.
I’m living in Mission Viejo and going to Capistrano Valley High School. To be an exchange student is, for me, a very nice opportunity. I will learn how to speak English fluently. When you live with an American family as I am doing, you learn a new culture.
If you are thinking about being an exchange student, or have a child that wants to be one, I think you should do so--or let your child be one. You will never regret it.
