I was extremely gratified to know that so many women feel the way I have, that being unattached is a positive boon. Quotes like “I love doing what I want, when I want” and “I like to check out the merchandise” express my feelings exactly. The only problem is that I am a man, and my honest expressions of these attitudes have earned me nothing but catcalls--ranging from “irresponsible” to “afraid of commitment” to “worm boy.”
