Prep Soccer : Kennedy Clinches League Title With 5-0 Win

The Kennedy High School boys’ soccer team defeated Garden Grove, 5-0, Monday to clinch the Garden Grove League championship at Garden Grove.
Curt Simon scored two minutes into the game, and Mike Laliberte scored five minutes later. Kennedy (13-2-3, 10-0) had second-half goals from Mark Florek, Diego Abbes and Danny Searle.
In other Garden Grove League matches:
Bolsa Grande 4, Santiago 3--Randy Reywaga, a senior forward, scored three goals to lead Bolsa Grande (8-5-4, 6-2-3) at home. Juan Duarter scored Bolsa Grande’s other goal.
Los Amigos 5, La Quinta 2--Art Maravilla scored three goals for the Lobos (2-6-2 overall) at Los Amigos. Tito Galviz and Armando Reyes also scored for Los Amigos.
Pacifica 2, Rancho Alamitos 0--Kevin Ashworth and Eric Figler each scored a goal as the Mariners (6-4-4, 5-3-3) won at home.
