L.A. Planned Parenthood Director

Dr. Joan Griggs Babbott, former executive director of Planned Parenthood od Connecticut, has been named interim executive director of Planned Parenthood-World Population, Los Angeles, replacing the Rev. Dr. J. Hugh Anwyl, who has resigned after 17 years.
Babbott studied medicine at the State University of New York in Syracuse and has a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University. Before affiliating with Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, she was in pediatrics and the women’s health field for 13 years and was medical director for Planned Parenthood of Vermont.
