Long Beach Faces San Jose State

Second place is within reach of Cal State Long Beach, which plays San Jose State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game tonight at 7:30 in the university gym.
The 49ers, who have won 5 straight games, are 12-6 overall and 6-3 in the PCAA, a game behind second-place Utah State.
San Jose, which beat Long Beach, 80-79, earlier in the season, is 10-8 and 5-4. The Spartans are led by Ricky Berry, the PCAA’s leading scorer who is averaging 25.2 points a game.
