Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Black History Parade to Feature Floats, Bands

The ninth annual Black History Parade will launch observance of Black History month Saturday in Santa Ana, beginning at 10 a.m. at Main and 15th streets.
The parade will feature more than 100 units, including floats, marching bands and celebrities such as Todd Bridges of the TV show “Different Strokes” and San Diego Padres shortstop Gary Templeton.
Last year, more than 20,000 people lined Main Street to watch the parade, according to city estimates.
A festival at Birch Park, located at 3rd and Ross streets, will follow the parade.
