WCAC Roundup : Gonzaga Beats San Diego

Guard Doug Spradley scored a game-high 20 points as he led Gonzaga University to a 70-52 victory over the University of San Diego in a West Coast Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Spokane.
Spradley also had a game-high five assists for the Bulldogs.
Gonzaga outscored the Toreros 16-2 early in the second half, opening up a 50-34 lead with 10:50 left. San Diego got no closer than 11 points the rest of the way, as the Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak.
Senior Danny Roe scored 18 points and junior Todd Franklin added 11, as the Bulldogs improved to 11-9 overall and 2-5 in conference games.
San Diego (9-11, 1-6) was led by senior Marty Munn, who scored 19 points.
St. Mary’s 65, Portland 52--Erick Newman scored 19 points, and Robert Haugen added 17 to lead the Gaels (12-6, 4-3) over the Pilots (5-15, 0-7) in a WCAC game at Portland.
