MORE ‘LOST IN L.A.’

Arax’s article documented the trauma Vietnamese teen-agers experience while making the dual transition from childhood to adulthood and from Indochinese to American culture. Too many get lost in the shuffle, and their suffering takes a toll, not only on the youth themselves but on our society.
I wish to compliment Arax on the insight and compassion with which he treated these teen-agers and the perseverance it must have taken to gain the confidence of these disaffected youth.
