National Tech Systems Buys Detroit laboratory

National Technical Systems said it bought S/K Detroit, a test laboratory for automobile and aerospace equipment, for an undisclosed amount.
The Calabasas engineering services company bought the Detroit laboratory from Structural Kinematics Corp., a subsidiary of Wellesley, Mass.-based EG&G.; The laboratory has been renamed NTS Detroit.
