Boy Falls in Lake, Is Saved as Dog Keeps Him Afloat

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A boy fell into an icy lake while trying to save his golden retriever, then was helped to safety by his pet, who kept him afloat and nudged him toward solid ice, the boy’s father said. The dog stayed with 10-year-old Glenn Henderson until a rescue team could pull him from the lake Tuesday, officials said.
