Ex-Soviet Aide Gets 8 Years for Bribery

MOSCOW — The former personal aide to ousted Kazakhstan leader Dinmukhamed A. Kunayev has been sentenced to eight years in a strict regime labor camp for bribery and corruption, the Soviet newspaper Trud said Sunday.
Dyusetay Bekezhanov, who allegedly used state airliners on private hunting trips, was sentenced by a court in the Kazakh capital of Alma-Ata. His personal property was also confiscated, the trade union newspaper said.
