James H. Ross will be appointed president and chief executive of British Petroleum America Inc. following the return to London of Robert B. Horton, vice chairman and chief executive of BP America, on April 10. Horton becomes chairman of BP America, a subsidiary of British Petroleum, and a managing director of the BP Group. Ross also will assume Horton’s chairmanship of Standard Oil Production Co.
Frank Mosier, president of BP America, will be named vice chairman, and John G. McDonald, president of Sohio Oil Co., will be named executive vice president and a director of BP America.
