Redondo Beach City Atty. Gordon C. Phillips has announced plans for a public forum and discussion to provide information on the Ralph M. Brown Act and on conflict of interest under the Fair Political Practices Commission Act from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Civic Center Council Chamber, 415 Diamond St., Redondo Beach.
The Brown Act prescribes the manner in which meetings of public bodies must be conducted. The Fair Political Practices Commission establishes the financial conflict of interest guidelines for public officials.
Deputy Atty. Gen. Ted Prim will make the presentation on the Brown Act, and Kathryn Donovan, attorney for the Fair Political Practices Commission, will discuss conflict of interest.
