Karen Ann Kurtenbach of Rothschild, Wis., whose husband was killed during last year’s Indianapolis 500, has filed a $9-million lawsuit against the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, race driver Tony Bettenhausen and others.
Lyle Kurtenbach, 41, died May 24 when a tire that left the race car of Bettenhausen flew into the grandstand, striking Kurtenbach in the head.
