A knee injury may keep Patricia Cooksey out of action for five days, further delaying her bid to break the record for career victories by a female jockey.
Cooksey, who is two victories away from tying Patti Barton’s record, missed five rides Wednesday and was scratched from seven races Thursday after falling off a horse while mounting. Barton, now retired, had 1,202 career wins.
