I was unfortunately included in “Fat Begone!” (Jan. 17). I am very displeased with the method in which author Joyce Wadler has portrayed the procedure of liposuction surgery. Liposuction is currently the No. 1 cosmetic surgical procedure in America today. It is a very safe, effective means that has helped many people deal with their poor body image. This article is a misrepresentation and a mockery of a very good technique that has helped thousands of people in America.
