College Roundup : Lightfoot Leads SCC Past Fresno Pacific, 95-78

Mike Lightfoot scored 22 points to lead the Southern California College men’s basketball team to a 95-78 Golden State Athletic Conference victory over Fresno Pacific Tuesday at Fresno.
SCC’s Todd Dixon, a guard, scored 17 points, and center Jeff Bickmore added 14. Brian Fall led Fresno Pacific with 17 points.
SCC improved to 9-4 in conference play and 15-13 overall.
In another Golden State Athletic Conference game:
Cal Lutheran 103, Christ College Irvine 98--Blake Miraglia scored 25 points and Jeff Logsdon and Steve Delaveaga added 21 each to lead Cal Lutheran at Irvine. Christ College Irvine (7-21, 0-13) was led by Mike Thompson’s 32 points, Darrick Brunk’s 30 and Robert Pallotta’s 25.
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball:
Fresno Pacific 83, Southern California College 43--Michie Sierra scored 13 points to lead host Fresno Pacific, which had five players score in double figures.
In nonconference softball:
Chapman 5-5, Azusa Pacific 0-0--Cheri Schreck (4-0) pitched a two-hitter to lead Chapman to a 5-0 victory in the first game at Hart Park in Orange. Shelly Mahon pitched a two-hitter in the second game for Chapman (8-4). Leslie Berk had a triple, an RBI and run scored in each game for the Panthers. Azusa Pacific is 3-5.
