Fleetwood Enterprises Inc.’s net fell 7% to $8.01 million for the third quarter, compared to the same quarter a year earlier. Sales for the period totaled $309.3 million, up 6%. The Riverside company, which is the nation’s leading producer of motor homes, travel trailers and manufactured housing, said the results reflect lower housing sales and increased manufacturing costs for recreational vehicles which, for competitive reasons, were not reflected in higher sales prices.
