No Resemblance to Whatzit Hills

I take steaming umbrage at being labeled (libeled) “Beverly Hills By-the-Sea” (Clipboard, LIFE, Feb. 11).
We desire no affiliation, no sister-city buddy-buddyship, no cozying-up-to, and indeed sincerely hope we are unlike Whatsaname Hills in myriad ways. At the same time, “perish forbid,” we would not care to have your Hills town referred to as the Newport Beach of Wilshire/Rodeo/the Polo Lounge, or in any such cute fiddle-faddlery.
We are a county removed, and trust the fates will not allow a Richter upheaval to change that.
