Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : X-Ray Technician Is Booked in Sex Case

A 24-year-old X-ray technician was arrested Friday after a woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by him during a hospital exam, Garden Grove police said.
Robert Huu Pham of Santa Ana was arrested at his place of work, Hughes Chiropractic Corp. in Anaheim, said Police Lt. William Dalton.
“We’re looking to ascertain if there are any other women who may have also been physically assaulted by this person but are reluctant to come forward,” Dalton said.
A 22-year-old woman told police she was assaulted by Pham on Jan. 16 during an X-ray examination at the Medical Center of Garden Grove while she was receiving treatment for injuries suffered in a car accident, Dalton said.
Dalton said Pham is a licensed X-ray technician who may have changed jobs recently from the medical center to Hughes.
The medical center’s personnel office was closed late Friday, and Pham’s employment record could not be confirmed, a medical center spokeswoman said.
Pham was booked into County Jail on charges of sexual battery and assault. Bail was set at $10,000.
