Safe rides home for people who have been drinking too much will be available on weekend nights beginning March 25, according to San Clemente General Hospital, which will act as headquarters for the program.
Beverly Wright said the assistance program, a joint operation of students and faculty of San Clemente High School and the Boy Scouts of America, will be available on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. by dialing 83-ALIVE.
She said volunteer adult advisers are being sought to work with the existing Safe Rides governing board. They may register by calling Wright at (714) 661-4448.
