Witch Doctor Works Love Charm--No. 80

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — An 84-year-old Malaysian witch doctor specializing in love charms married this month--for the 80th time.
Pak Awang Said told the daily newspaper Malay Mail that love and marriage are in the hands of God. Pak Awang, who said he had lost touch with many of his innumerable offspring, added that most of his marriages ended in divorce, although some of his wives had died.
The witch doctor has done his bit for racial integration in this multiracial Southeast Asian nation, having married Malays, Chinese, Indians and Pakistanis.
Wife No. 80, 39-year-old Puan Mariam Bahaman, told the Malay Mail that she is “a one-man woman and hopes to keep it that way.”
