UCLA’s Karla Goltman qualified for the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. championships by coming in second in the one-meter springboard diving competition at the Pacific 10 Swimming Championships at the University of Arizona. Winning the event was Katie Connors of Stanford.
Stanford’s Matt Frawley won the men’s three-meter diving, with teammate Mike Burton placing second. UCLA’s Todd Watkins placed third.
The top two women finishers qualify for the NCAA meet, while the men qualify by score only. The women’s three-meter and men’s one-meter will be held today, with platform diving Monday.
