Chatsworth High’s Joel Wolfe, one of the top professional baseball prospects in the Valley area, said Wednesday that he has made a verbal commitment to play at UCLA.
“I want to play Pac-10 ball and UCLA is the place,” said Wolfe, who took a recruiting trip to Miami last month. “There is more exposure here.”
Wolfe, a 6-2 1/2, 200-pound All-City Section third baseman, batted .468 with 6 doubles, 4 triples and 4 home runs last season. He also drove in 29 runs, scored 29 runs and led the City with 19 stolen bases.
