Members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries have boosted their production, which could increase pressure for an emergency OPEC meeting, oil analysts said. According to latest data released by the Paris-based International Energy Agency, OPEC’s production rose to 17.4 million barrels a day in February from 17 million in January. This is the ceiling set for the first half of 1988 at the 13-nation cartel’s last meeting in December.
