Pasadena : Seismologist Honored

Don L. Anderson, professor of geophysics and director of Caltech’s Seismological Laboratory, has been awarded the Gold Medal of Great Britain’s Royal Astronomical Society.
The award, the highest given by the society, honors Anderson’s research and leadership in seismology, focusing on his investigations into the structure of the earth’s deep interior.
