Jackson A. Doyle, 67, a longtime Capitol bureau chief for the San Francisco Chronicle. A native of Sacramento, Doyle graduated from the UC Berkeley before joining International News Service, later merged to form United Press International, and then the Chronicle in 1946. Doyle became the newspaper’s Capitol bureau chief in 1952. In Sacramento on Thursday of cancer.
