Schiller, Weiskopf Named Laurel Award Recipients

The board of directors of the Writers Guild of America, West, have selected veteran writers Bob Schiller an Bob Weiskopf as recipients of the Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television. The award recognizes writers who in the board’s opinion have “advanced the literature of television through the years and made outstanding contributions to the profession the television writer.”
Schiller Weiskopf, an Emmy-winning team for 35 years, have written for various Lucille Ball shows, “Maude,” “All in the Family,” Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, Flip Wilson and Ann Sothern, among others.
