The Johnny Cash exhibit debuts this month at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, an elaborate biographical salute to the country music legend that will remain on display through 1990. Artifacts and memorabilia selected by Cash for the exhibit include costumes, instruments, manuscripts, correspondence, rare photos, fine art, furniture, a white rockabilly jacket with silver fringe that Cash’s mother sewed for his first live performance in 1956 and instruments used by his first band, the Tennessee Two.
