Rush Named Coach at Mission Viejo

Mike Rush, an assistant for 10 years at Mission Viejo High School, has been named the school’s football coach.
Rush takes over for Bill Crow, who resigned in February. Crow coached the Diablos for eight seasons, leading them to a Central Conference championship in 1981, to the 1985 Southern Conference championship game--in which they lost to Santa Ana--and to the Southern Conference semifinals last fall.
Before he came to Mission Viejo, Rush served as an assistant at Santa Ana Valley for four seasons and before that at Sunny Hills for five.
