The late Martin J. Bogdanovich, founder of Star-Kist Foods and a San Pedro community activist, will once again have a park named in his honor. In a ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, officials, including Los Angeles Councilwoman Joan Milke Flores and Los Angeles County Supervisor Deane Dana, are scheduled to rename San Pedro Park the Martin J. Bogdanovich Recreation Center, marking the end of a lengthy quest to find a suitable namesake for Bogdanovich.
