I read with great pleasure your excellent article “No. 4 Is No. 1 in the Hearts of Riders” (by Dick Roraback, Feb. 29).
When I came to Los Angeles 17 years ago, I didn’t have a driver’s license and used the buses to get around. For years I was one of these passengers that you so vividly describe.
I congratulate Roraback and The Times for such an outstanding report of these people who make this exciting city work and give Los Angeles its color and its substance.
