A man on roller-skates and a dog pulling him along a Tarzana street were killed Sunday when a car rounded a curve and struck them, Los Angeles police said.
The man, who was believed to be about 19, but had not yet been identified, was killed about 7 p.m. in the 5200 block of Crebs Avenue. Police said the accident occurred in a winding and dimly lit area of the road just south of Ventura Boulevard.
Police said the man was in the roadway holding the dog’s leash and was being pulled along when a car heading north at high speed rounded a curve and struck them. The accident was still under investigation late Sunday. The identity of the car’s driver was not available.
