Local News in Brief : Skater Killed by Car Was Tarzana Resident

A man struck and killed by a car while he was being pulled on roller-skates by his dog has been identified as Gilbert Gonzales, 25, of Tarzana, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Gonzales was fatally injured about 7 p.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of Crebs Avenue, near his home, when a Mustang driven by Norman Weitz, 65, of Woodland Hills rounded a curve and struck him and his dog, police said. Gonzales and the dog, which also was killed, were in the street, police said.
An investigation of the accident continued Monday, police said.
