Intruder Shot to Death Near India Parliament

NEW DELHI — An intruder was shot to death while scaling a gate outside Parliament, police said Monday.
Police spokesman Ravi Pawar said the unidentified man was challenged by security guards shortly after midnight Sunday. When the man did not heed their calls, the guards opened fire, Pawar said.
A senior police officer investigating the case said the intruder was not armed.
