Local News in Brief : Brea : Senior Council Filing Deadline Is March 31

The filing deadline for people wishing to run for three open seats on the Brea Senior Center Participant Council is March 31.
To be eligible, candidates must be at least 60, residents of Brea and active at the Brea Senior Center. Petitions are available from any council member or by calling the center at (714) 990-7751.
The senior council coordinates the center’s various civic, cultural and educational activities. The center also is offering free tax assistance through April 8. Tax appointments can be made by calling the center Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
