CSUN Baseball Falls to UC Riverside, 11-3

Cal State Northridge could not recover from an early five-run deficit and lost to UC Riverside, 11-3, Sunday in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. baseball game at Northridge.
John Bonilla had two of the Matadors’ six hits, and sophomore Scott Stewart hit a two-run home run in the eighth.
Jared Guevara picked up the win for Riverside (18-13 overall, 8-3 in CCAA). The Highlanders pitcher held Northridge hitless until Mark Hebert singled in the sixth. Troy Kent picked up the save.
Robert Wheatcroft threw seven innings for Northridge (11-21 overall, 2-5 in CCAA play) giving up 7 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks.
