Beverly Hills : ‘Hillside Ordinance’ Amended
- Share via
The City Council on Tuesday amended its so-called Hillside Ordinance to allow for City Council review of Planning Commission decisions.
Under the current ordinance, homeowners cannot appeal decisions of the Planning Commission. The amendment would allow the City Council to affirm, modify or reverse decisions.
The Hillside Ordinance, which takes effect immediately, outlines a development review process for developments north of Sunset Boulevard to make sure that proposed projects do not block views or deviate in character from existing neighborhoods.
