The Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Assn. won a coin flip with the Miami Heat, the league’s other expansion team, and will draft eighth, after the seven lottery teams, in the annual college draft June 28.
Because Charlotte will pick ahead of Miami in the college draft, the Heat will pick ahead of the Hornets in the expansion draft either June 20 or 23.
